A visit from the Cub Scouts!

The 1st Burk’s Falls Cub Scouts visited the Watt Century Farm House and learned a lot about local history. A special thank you to our President, Diane Brandt for planning a special program for the group. The Cubs participated in a scavenger hunt, identified mystery artifacts and played a game of “I Spy” in the heritage site.  ..

Historical Automobile Association of Canada Donation
Thank you Floyd Allen and the Historical Automobile Society of Canada - Muskoka Region (HASC Muskoka) for your generous donation of $400 to the Historical Society. Through your support of the Historical Society we are able to continue and support of our mission to collect, preserve, and share the history of our community. In August 2018, the Historical Automobile Society of Canada held their annual Normoska in Huntsville, Ontario. This event has attracted H.A.S.C. members since it went 'North to Muskoka' in 1958 (whence comes its name). Normoska is actually held in a different area of the Province each year and is a week-long August holiday for the whole family. It provides an interesting itinerary of tours to places of interest and included the heritage sites of Watt Century Farm House and the Wiseman’s Corner Schoolhouse this year.
